ACQUIT INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (AIF) is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote access to justice and fairness in the criminal justice system. AIF works to ensure that no innocent person is unjustly incarcerated without access to a counsel to defend him/her. According to statistics, 80% of inmates in Nigerian prisons are awaiting trial, only 20% are convicted. Among the 80% are very poor inmates who cannot afford legal representatives court.
