Here's the story.
I was recuperating from a sickness. Alone at home in 2015, I was searching through my phone when I stumbled on a news about cervical cancer. I decided to research about it extensively and I discovered how deadly the cancer is.
Unfortunately, millions of Nigerians/Africans are still ignorant about cervical cancer and its dangers and this has caused a tremendous increase in the death rate caused by the cancer. I made up my mind to reduce this seemingly increase mortality rate to its barest minimum. Since then, I have been able to put up couples of events and projects in line with this.
These experiences and many more which I gathered from my journey fired up my passion the more when I discovered most Nigerian females affected by this deadly disease are unable to afford the preventive vaccines and further treatments of cervical cancer.
I founded The Honeydrop Foundation to be able to effectively fight this cause. From the January outreach and free screening, a saddening number of the females who were tested were positive, so the foundation saw it very necessary and urgent to provide vaccines for five(5) females who are in urgent need of it.
The cost of a dose of vaccine is 15, 000 and each patient is to get three(3) doses, that is 15, 000 x 3=75,000 per person. Therefore the total cost for the project is #225,000 .
With your support, we can save lives and make the world a cancer free place.
The project is being coordinated by The Honeydrop Foundation. Every penny raised goes to the implementation of this project.
