Widows in Nigeria face so much problems as people in the society tend to control them through use of abuse (both verbal and physical). Owing to the high incidence of society stigmatization and violence towards widows in the area, there is a need to develop a program to help widows get rid of such problems and are made aware of their rights and are empowered. This is where our projects tagged “WIDOW MATTERS” and December project tagged “SANTA FOR WIDOWS” come in and we seek to usher 100 vulnerable women (widows) from extreme poverty through entrepreneurship development in Lagos State, Nigeria. We believe that empowering them towards economic development will not only facilitate in improving the socio-economic condition of women, but will also help in betterment of the entire family. Financial independence gained through entrepreneurship development will provide confidence to widows and they will be able to avail their rights. The projectS will be implemented for as long as possible.
