The Purple Girl Foundation is a non-profit organization set up to support and enhance the education of the girl-child in Nigeria. Studies have consistently reinforced that girls who face multiple disadvantages — such as low family income, living in remote or underserved locations, disability or belonging to a minority group — are farthest behind in terms of access to education and ability to complete their basic education.

In light of these facts, The Purple Girl Foundation (TPGF) was established to provide support to female students from indigent families across Nigeria through the following focus areas; tuition sponsorship, peer learning and character development sessions, health care insurance, as well as other education requirements at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels in select schools across Nigeria.

Over the past one year, the Foundation successfully completed a pilot phase of scholarship disbursements to 63 beneficiaries in different states across the country.

TPGF aims to keep increasing this number year by year. To achieve this, the Foundation needs N20,000,000. This funds will be used for the following;

• Tuition fees & all other required fees for girls in Primary, Secondary & Tertiary  institutions
• Recommended textbooks & stationery
• School uniforms, sport wears, shoes, bags & other requirements
• Sanitary towels
• Customized health insurance for each girl
• Leadership & Sexual reproductive health education fora for 600 girls across the country
• STEM education (Coding/programming) training for girls in tertiary institutions.
