With heartfelt respect, we appeal to the public for support on behalf of Mr. Akeem Jeariogbe, a 62-year-old man who has endured recurrent low back pain for three years. He was admitted to Jericho Hospital in August 2025 and received medications and physiotherapy. Sadly, during the admission, he lost the ability to walk or move his legs. He was later referred to the Orthopedic Unit at the University College Hospital (UCH) for further evaluation. An MRI and CT scan confirmed that he has kidney cancer. With contributions from family and friends, he underwent his first major surgery—a right nephrectomy (removal of the cancerous kidney). However, he continues to suffer severe back pain and remains unable to walk. Neurosurgeons have now advised a second operation, costing about ₦5,000,000.
