Let's support the initiative of a Nigerian police officer and the founder of the Mulapnen Capacity Building Initiative, MuCaBI, which was conceived out of the burning desire to reduce the number of young people in police custody and those who are incarcerated. These young people, aged 13 to 22, who are meant to be in school, are caught up in a crime wave caused by poverty and peer influence.  MuCaBi is committed to mentoring and creating career possibilities through skill development for young people to live productive lives. Some of the solutions provided include scholarship programmes and character development programmes. There are many young people who have experienced incarceration and been released into society with nothing to show for it. MuCaBI, based in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, is a nonprofit organisation registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission in 2016. With your support, 150 young people would be enrolled in school and learn skills to better equip them.
