The “Pre and Post-Crash Initiative for the Road Transportation Sector in Nigeria” which is a project designed to reduce deaths due to road traffic crashes in Nigeria. The Pre and Post-Crash Initiative for the Road Transportation Sector is meant to help in improving the response time by establishing a viable “Golden Hour” during road traffic crashes in Nigeria. It is focused on assisting road traffic crash victims receive immediate first aid treatment at the point of crash using the standardized and recommended Vehicle First Aid Kits. This is towards the achievement of the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021 – 2030 which is to reduce deaths due to road traffic crashes by 50 per cent before the year 2030. As such, Nigeria having one of the highest rate of deaths due to road traffic crashes in Africa and the world at large must do the needful to meet the United Nations objectives
