In 1976, Prince Nico Mbarga recorded a song titled "Sweet Mother". The song will later sell over 13 million official copies, making it Africa's highest selling record of all Time. However, Nico alleged that he was not paid the commensurate royalties due to him. Frustrated, Nico tried to seek justice but sadly he died in a motto cycle accident in 1997. 25 years later, Sweet Mother is still relevant and has become the official mother's day anthem but the man Nico Mbarga is forgotten in history. In abid to reintroduce his name to the new generation, Sweet Mother Project was set up. AN EVENING WITH NICO MBARGA is a night of tribute. Futhermore, for the first time in Lagos Nico son, Nico Mbarga Jnr will be thrilling a Live audience with His father's classics. The event is a well deserved 25th anniversary celebration in honor of Prince Nico Mbarga & an avenue to introduce His son , his Legacy to mainstream Music lovers.
