The Alumni of the department of Computer Science, University of Lagos, in conjunction with the department is poised to install a Converged Data Infrastructure for its department.

The architecture design has been reviewed and deemed adequate by the department for their use. The cost implication is about $70,000. However, this cost excluded two critical components - storage and battery farm for the UPS.

The necessary equipment include;

• One core switch
• One Access controller
• One storage, 130TB RAW
• Two Servers
• Twelve WAP devices
• Two Aggregate switches
• One micro DC
• One 30kVa UPS
• Batteries and Cabinet for the UPS.
