The ‘MAKE A CHILD SMILE” campaign is a fundraising campaign to lift up countenances of children who are homeless,starving, living at IDP camps and Orphanage homes in Nigeria.
According to Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, the estimated number of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) is 17.5 million nationwide and the total number of out-of-school children in Nigeria remains at 10.5 million. According to the United Nations Children Fund, this represents the highest number of children in the world who cannot go to school.
The “Make a Child Smile” campaign is targeted at putting a smile on these children’s faces. We believe every child deserves joy and happiness as well as Basic care and education; this campaign aims to achieve this by giving the kids a reason to hope and believe in a better future.
We are therefore partnering with Five reputable NGOs/Orphanages who will be beneficiaries of the proceeds from this campaign.
Oluwashina, one of our campaign beneficiaries, was diagnosed of bladder exstrophy, and has gone through a successful surgery. He is living normally now like other children.
Many other children are still battling with dashed hopes. Many don’t even know there is a platform to reach out for help. Many are dead and many are on the verge of death. They deserve hope, life and a smile.
