FEED THE POOR THIS RAMADAN.

“Whoever provides food for a person to break their fast, he will have the like of his reward…”

Ramadan is a sacred month of the year for the Muslims, it is a period when Muslims worldwide commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad. It is a period accompanied with fasting every day, from sunrise to sunset. It’s a time for spiritual discipline and it is believed that thawab (spiritual rewards) are multiplied during the month of Ramadan.

FEED THE POOR THIS RAMADAN is a fundraising campaign initiated to reach out to the general public, this period of RAMADAN to give food at the end of the fast. It’s targeted at the children on the streets who have little or nothing to celebrate/ break their fast on. We aim at providing nourishment and putting smiles on the faces of these children/families.

Many children and families are not opportune to celebrate or have what to feed on this period, As giving is one of the five pillars of Islam, we are calling on the general public, Muslim believer or not to join and donate to this campaign, as food items will be bought and supplied to the poor and needy on the streets of Lagos.
