A CASE STUDY- Catfish Hatching Training.

Basically, entrepreneurial development is the process of improving the skill set as well as the knowledge of the entrepreneurs. The process of entrepreneurship development is nothing but helping people/entrepreneurs develop their skills through training and application of the training acquired.

Every nation needs entrepreneurial skill development to improve, sustain and grow its economy.

Agriculture is one of the sectors that can sustain a nation’s economy is properly looked into. 

There are so many areas in the sector yet to be tapped, if tapped it can lead to improvement in the GDP of our nation. Millions of naira are spent annually in importation of frozen foods into the country.

Our goal is to set up a Mini-Catfish hatchery academy that will focus on teaching and training farmers, non-farmers graduates inclusive, the skill of how to hatch catfish into fries and fingerlings.

Our aim is  to encourage home grown catfish production.  We will not only encourage home grown catfish production but also to create employment opportunities.

Our target is to train 1000 participants annually for FREE and to help them establish their own Catfish Business in Nigeria.

Below are the expenses lists of equipments needed  for the setting up of this Catfish Hatching Academy:

3. Plumbering work,Materials, Construction of wooden Vats  & Labour  #360,000
4. Bowls, Scooping Nets,Knives & Napkins                            #20,000

To successfully set up this training academy which will enable our participants learning all the skill in Catfish Hatchery, we would need the sum of One Million One Hundred and Fiffty Thousand Naira Only.
