I am a medical doctor in Benin city, Edo state, Nigeria. During my period of practice, I’ve noticed that a lot of persons in Nigeria die from preventable illnesses. People do not have access to the right information to help them take better care of their health. This problem is worse among the uneducated and the poor. Their only source of health information is either from unlicensed medicine peddlers on the streets, buses and markets or myths passed down from their parents. I plan to start a health education program on radio that would feature top experts in medicine and health to teach people about correct health attitudes and practices. The program would enable people learn the right information for preventing common illnesses and give them the opportunity to consult with experts for free. The money I am raising is to put this health education program on the radio and internet. Your donations would go a long way in savings lives. Thank you
