Three years ago my son, Princewill Chidiebere Umezuruike (34 years old) was diagnosed with renal disease. Presently the Nephrologists at St. Nicholas have assessed Chidiebere's case and determined that his two Kidneys are non-functional. They have recommended series of hemodialysis for a month and then a Kidney Transplant afterwards. The estimated cost of the Kidney transplant is at 9 million naira plus additional 8 million naira pre and post transplant tests, procedures and medications. This brings it to a total of 17 million naira. We have started Chidiebere on the 1 month long recommended dialysis at St. Nicholas Hospital and trusting that by the grace of God we can get the Kidney Transplant for him by October 19, 2020. It will be financially beneficial for us to keep this schedule as it costs about N200K weekly to keep him on dialysis.
