I am choosing this charity because I understand that SCD patients do not receive much support, as it is not a very familiar topic amongst many people, hence the SCD advocacy campaigns are underfunded. Therefore, any donation will help make a huge impact in the lives of those dealing with the disease at this time. Having lost a loved one to SCD, I know how it feels.
