I am Ogedengbe Oluwaseun Michael. I am an undergraduate Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.
I am suffering from Chronic Femoral Osteomyelitis. Osteomyelitis is an infection in a bone.
These are the symptoms I've always suffered since the diagnosis: pain and swelling, redness and warmth in the infected leg, persistent fever general discomfort, uneasiness, and ill feeling.
The most embarrassing part is drainage of pus (thick yellow fluid) through the skin.
The only option for treatment I have now is surgery to remove portions of bone that have died. This is followed by strong antibiotics, often by an IV, for at least six weeks. The estimated cost of this surgery and admission after the surgery is #7500,000 ($2000). I have tried all I could to raise this money, but I couldn't.
